French city of Nantes recently became host to extremely strange and fascinating sculptural display: “Les Machines de l’Ile Nantes”, designed by François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice. Claude Joannis has a few photographs that’ll give you some idea about how extraordinary cool this exhibition is (the first on my list of museums to visit, if possible!)

It’s Friday and time to get freaky! You thought that humans were the only creatures out there that see Friday as a day to go out after work, get drunk, and begin a freaky mating ritual so you can have a great store and odd rash on Monday? Well these animals take i to a whole new level and you just have to respect that commitment.

The world’s largest lizard (up to 3 meters long) only needs one bite to infect its prey, and then it will stalk it – patiently, cold-bloodedly – until it keels over; and yes, if no living prey is available, it will gladly dig up human graves…

The Komodo dragon is the closest thing to a dinosaur that we have today on Earth, and to the “epic fantasy” wicked dragons. Its teeth are covered in bleeding tissue, its mouth copiously bleeds every time it feeds, drooling venomous saliva and flicking its long yellow forked tongue.

The dog with the largest ears in the world as recognised by the new 2004 Guiness Book of World Records, Mr Jeffries the Bassett Hound, is seen in this handout photo made available Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003. Jeffries, whose ears measure 29.2 cm (11.5 in) lives with his owner, Phil Jeffries, in West Sussex, England. Mr Jeffries’ full name is Knightsfollie Ladiesman and he is the grandson of Biggles, the face of Hush Puppies shoes. His ears are insured for 30,000 pounds ($47,800).

Humans get up to mischief but we try to be discreet about our sex adventures, well this monkey or should I say these two monkey’s clearly do not give a shit as they get up to sexual activities in public.

You got to love the picture above of the squirrels’ playing cards, oh they really do play poker then I thought it was a myth. I wonder if they are playing for nuts, you got to be nuts not to love this picture.
